Government of India, is organizing a virtual summit onArtificial Intelligence-Responsible AI for Social Empowerment (RAISE 2020)from5th- 9thOctober, 2020.The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi has kindly consented to inaugurate this event on 5thOctober, 2020.The theme of the online summit isResponsible AI for Social Empowerment.

2. India is scripting a new narrative of social transformation, inclusive growth and empowerment, using the power of technology where AI and emerging technologies are key thrust areas. RAISE 2020 is aimed to unveil India’s vision for AI, showcase talent, create awareness and launch an action roadmap. It will focus on 5 distinct themes, viz. Responsible AI, Data, Collaboration, Ecosystem Development and Empowering a Billion+. Global experts and delegates in research, policy and innovation on Artificial Intelligence are expected to participate in the summit and share their insight on how to leverage the new wave technology towards betterment of the larger global population.

3. RAISE 2020 would endeavour to unite different nationalities and stakeholders in developing a joint plan of action relating to the use of AI for solving common governance challenges in areas of Health, Education, Skills and also address issues around ethics and privacy that the world facestoday.
